But with that, I have a great memory that will never go away of my Grandmother getting this for me in that because she passed away back in 2016. Simulation Video games released in 1999 Windows. They are that hard!!! Anyway, the video attached, I found while searching YouTube is showing what the intro was and also what a level of the game is like. And to tell you the truth, the last 2 levels I still have yet to complete. And to this day, I still do play it certain times. And I have to show this in the photos, that their in the photos is the same exact jewel case, cover and CD disc that my Mom & Grandmother got me. Well anyway, now is 2021!!! That's 21 years ago already!!! Now I'm 29, going on 30 this year. It was a fun game to play at the time for the beginner levels, but it got very hard as the levels go on. When I got to their house later that day, I was so excited to get it installed and play it. Well my mother & grandmother bought the game for me that day. And at that time my Grandparents had a computer, with which I used not much but I did have a couple other train games I did play because I love trains.

Well while at the store, on an end cap was this PC Computer Game. Back in 2000, I went with my family one day to Best Buy. Hope this channels someone else's childhood nostalgia like it did mine.Amazing how times flies. Traintown is abandonware now which means it's reasonably easy to get it legally through a variety of direct-download sources, but this should also work just fine on a physical copy if you still have one laying about. So, I played with the built-in level editor (and a few other graphical features) to produce a post-freeze-apocalypse based level pack with six scenarios of varying challenge!

Most of the time I dig into my childhood for this and pluck out a game I played as a kid, and recently, 3D Ultra Lionel's Traintown Deluxe (bit of a mouthful!) came to mind.
Lionel traintown video game mods#
Some of my mods are aimed at popularly modded games, but I also take a special interest in modding older or more niche titles. These days, I run editorial and community management for a game modification website called ModDB and before that (and during) I create my own game modifications for various older games. When I was a kid, I loved playing Traintown and though I don't collect trains anymore, I used to play with wooden track and the like too. Anyone run into this issue or have any ideas? I have seen there are "accessory" transformers, but seeing as how track power is 18volts, I don't see it making much of a difference. My initial thought would was to add isolation blocks on either side of the track to kill power to the trolley, but I still don't know if it would be going warp speed when it has power. I would also like the ability to stop the trolley, as we will be adding some operating accessories, and a train might be blocking the path of the trolley. Lionchief locos run at 18 volts, and my fear is the trolley would be going warp speed. My only concern is the trolley that shares a 90* crossover with the main track. I also have a CW80 that is used to power accessories and lighting on the layout. We run almost exclusively Lionchief locomotives, powered by an MTH Z1000. I am currently building this railroad for my son, as it has way more action than our current 4x8 layout (plus, we have most of the track already, so it is a huge plus).
